Lathe Tailstock Turret

Overview

The tailstock turret is designed to allow up to six tailstock-mounted tools to be changed easily and rapidly, so is a great boon when making production runs of parts like nuts and bolts, particularly when used in conjunction with a carriage multi-stop (see separate post).

Taper – MT2 as built; MT3 could be fitted.

Materials – body – cast iron; taper – blank end arbor; capstan – free cutting mild steel
