Cylinder Heads – Part 3

Work on the cylinder heads has continued over the last couple of months.  Wow, there is a lot of work in making cylinder heads!  So many different machining  operations are needed!

Since last time, I have machined the inlet and exhaust ports, finished the cooling fins and tapped the many holes for the camshaft bearing caps and the manifolds.  The cylinder heads are early done now – just need to drill the camshaft bearing holes and cut the threads for the spark plugs/glow plugs.  A few photos for you.

I am making SOHC and DOHC versions of both the 5cc and 10cc singles, but I am making two interchangeable cylinder heads for the 20cc in-line 4, one SOHC and one DOHC.
