Overview

The AMD5S is a single cylinder four-stroke internal combustion engine.  The design has single- and double overhead camshaft variants and both air- and water-cooled versions.  It is designed to be machined from the solid, with no castings required.  The engine was conceived as a basis for a four-cylinder version, the AMD20IL4, with which it has many common parts and design features.

• Stroke – 18mm
• Compression ratio – 10:1
• Gear-type oil pump
• Gear-type water pump (water cooled version only, obviously)
• No castings required, machined from solid.
